FLAVOUR FIELDS
The client provided an initial brief centered on creating a rejuvenating, nature-inspired restaurant that reflects a health-driven food philosophy rooted in sustainability, ethical sourcing, and respect for ingredients. They sought a design concept that authentically expresses the idea of "beauty in imperfection," drawing inspiration from the natural world and organic forms.
The design needed to tailor to the local UAE market while incorporating flexibility for potential expansion within the GCC region. A key focus was translating their commitment to eco-friendliness into the interior, blending sustainable materials and botanical elements to create a space that feels both timeless and welcoming.
In this project, the overarching concept of “beauty in imperfection” guided every design decision, from selecting materials to choosing finishes and furnishings. Each element was intentionally unique, featuring natural variations in color and texture, while remaining rooted in Middle Eastern architectural inspirations. To honor the region’s traditions, we incorporated organic forms and intricate references into the design.
This approach resulted in a curated collection of unrepeated furnishings and finishes that celebrated individuality while creating a cohesive aesthetic. By balancing these elements, we brought the client’s vision to life, blending cultural authenticity with a distinct, handcrafted charm.
