Tasked with crafting the next iteration of The Naked Duck within M-Park’s latest commercial development, the design brief was clear: create a lobby café that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings. The concept embraces cohesion, seamlessly flowing from the lobby into the café with a carefully curated palette of materials and finishes. The aesthetic vision is deeply rooted in locality, ensuring the space harmonises effortlessly with its environment—an inviting, sophisticated retreat that enhances the lobby experience while maintaining an organic connection to its urban context.

One of the key challenges of designing within a lobby space is managing multiple entry points while ensuring a seamless customer journey. The solution? A thoughtfully planned layout with two strategic entrances, allowing for intuitive navigation, efficient queuing, and a well-defined waiting area.

Positioning the counter at an optimal location enhances accessibility, enabling patrons to order and collect their coffee with ease—especially during the morning rush. Cleverly integrated floor finishes and custom banquet seating act as subtle yet effective wayfinding elements, naturally guiding visitors through the space. Signage plays a crucial role in reinforcing this intuitive flow, ensuring a frictionless and welcoming café experience within the dynamic lobby environment.
