Located on the foreshore of Parramatta River, The Landing is surrounded by a confluence of movement and interconnections both physical and metaphorical. As a source of sustenance, the water acts as a bond that brings people together throughout the centuries – further amplified by the historical Lennox Bridge that stands adjacent. As Parramatta is rapidly evolving into Sydney’s next urban destination, it is vital to draw communities together using innovative means.

This connection extends to the fabric of time where the past is stitched into the present as the city develops and grows into the modern era. A continual sense of flow is also felt whether from the perpetual rippling of the water or the textural fluctuations of the sandstone cladding found throughout this suburb that has deep colonial roots.

These ideas forms the overarching concept where convergence and motion will be interpreted and applied to all aspects of the branding and interior design – from material selection, creative detailing to wayfinding signages and environmental graphics.

Inspired by the simplistic nature of water and movement, the overall approach to the visual identity will be to imitate an organic sense of flow. Motion will be illustrated through the brand identity and graphics where thin soft lines and simple visuals are employed to express the essence of water. This concept will also be translated in how patrons connect to the space through innovative means such as light projections, wayfinding systems and signages.

The overall ambience of the mall interior will be refined and modern with an elegant dark colour palette and luxurious finishes that explore the concept of flow and connections. The idea of movement will be introduced through playful reflections from design features. Lighting will also be used to activate key areas and create a lavish atmosphere for an unforgettable experience.
